Northrop Grumman Information Technology (NGIT) sector is seeking Communications Network Engineers to join our team in defining the future in the Annapolis Junction, MD location. We are looking for motivated network engineers to provide support in the translation of business requirements into telecommunications (e.g., LAN, CAN, WAN, voice and video) requirements, design, and orders. Candidate must perform in-depth engineering analysis of telecommunications alternatives for government agencies in support of their strategic modernization efforts and telecommunications enhancement design for medium and large-scale telecommunication infrastructures. Applicant must have background in providing interface support to telecommunications end users, telecommunications operations personnel, and telecommunications strategic program management. Minimum Qualifications: To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below: * A minimum of five (5) years experience in network design to include routing switching and network security, and at a minimum, a CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, from an accredited college or university. * A minimum of three (3) years experience with CISCO 2800, 3600 and 7500 series routers; and Catalyst 3700 and 6500 series switches; CISCO PIX series firewalls, and the following VoIP equipment; Cisco Media Convergence Server (MCS) 7835, Cisco Call Manager Express bundle, and Cisco Unified IP Phone 7961G, Enhanced Manager Set. * A minimum of two (2) years experience in implementing VOIP, Gigabit Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, terminal servers, NTP servers, the following routing protocols , RIP, OSPF, TCP/IP, ATM, BGP, and VOIP, QOS, Gigabit Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, terminal servers. * A minimum of two (2) years of cable and wire harness fabrication to include 12 pair cabling to EIA530 and RS449, Twinax, coax, CAT 5E, single and multimode fiber optic cables, and the testing and certifying of cables in accordance with current Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) workmanship and quality standards. * Position requires a current TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance This position is contingent upon customer approval.
