Northrop Grumman is looking for a Communications/NETWORK Engineer.
Duties: Provides support in the translation of business requirements into telecommunications (e.g., LAN, WAN data communications) requirements, designs and orders. Provides in-depth engineering analysis of telecommunications alternatives in support of Identity Management program for large government agency. Designs for medium and large-scale telecommunication infrastructures. Provides interface support to telecommunications end users, telecommunications operations personnel, and telecommunications strategic program management. Resolves network problems and operates network analyzers. Implements Gigabit Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, terminal servers, and/or NTP servers.
Preferred: Network security and/or CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification. A minimum of one (1) year of experience with CISCO, and/or Catalyst networking hardware.
Required: Bachelor's degree and a minimum five (5) years experience in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting to include routers, switches, firewalls, etc. A minimum of two (2) years of cable and wire harness fabrication. A minimum of two (2) years of device installation, including low-level operating system installs/patches.
